An East African Photo Safari
Here is my latest Passport Map. A client did a 2 week East African Safari in 1998 to Kenya and Tanzania. It details all the tent camps in which he stayed and and the Wildlife Reserves he explored. Now he's hanging this bad boy on his office wall!
Wandering Across Kyrgyzstan
No matter how many times I type "Kyrgyzstan", I have to double check it. My brain just can seem to memorize it. In any event, above is an example of the multiple sizing we can do. The top is Super B sized (13 x 19) and the bottom is Letter. Whatever size you prefer, we can do!
Just Keep Pedalin' Fitzy!
The 2015 Pan-Mass Challenge is drawing near. This event raises millions each year for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Last year the event raised over $39 Million! This year, I am making special Passport Maps to celebrate these riders. The map includes the route, the $ raised, rider photos, etc. Basically customized to whatever you want. Above is one that I made for my good friend Kirk Fitzsimmons who is riding in his 10th PMC this year. For every PMC map I sell, 50% of the proceeds will go to Dana Farber. The result is a 13 x 19, art quality map, ready to be framed and hung - ready to celebrate the riders achievements, because, lets face it, PMC riders rock!
Anne's Asian Adventure
I recently made a map for Anne at TravelTheGlobe4Less.com. She'd taken a 3 week jaunt around southeast Asia. The trip looks incredible! Now she has something to remember it by.
We print this 19 x 13 beauty on high quality 51# acid free stock, suitable for framing.
This client wanted a Hometown map, but zoomed in to her neighborhood. She also preferred an 11 x 14 size, which helps accentuate the water features.
I've got Costa Rica on my mind these days. Here is a 5 x 7 map to accompany a recent blog post I just read by Wandering Trader: https://twitter.com/Wanderingtradr
Le Meilleur de la France
A good travel agent is priceless. Here is a demo map I made to showcase collaborative efforts I can do with Travel Agents. More info can be found on my Travel Agent Resource Page.
Summer Beach Guide to Portugal
A simple map I made to accompany a blog post about Summer Hot Spots in Portugal for http://www.the-wanderlisters.com/#!Summer-Beach-Guide-to-Portugal/c1cwz/5582ef440cf288ee3f0e037a
Above is my first trip into the Genealogy realm. In this map, we are showing the small towns in Prussia (modern day Germany and Poland) from which our subject's family emigrated out of Europe. Mapping out people's lineage seems like fun. Hope to make more soon!
Wandering Earl is one of the elite Travel Bloggers. I made him this map to add into his promotional materials. He runs some remarkable Tours. Check them out here:
La Tour De Vermont
Size doesn't matter - we do it all. From small web clips to Wall Sized monsters, we've got it covered. This map above is a designed to be 4 feet tall by 3 feet across. It details a 7-Day Epic Bike Tour in the Green Mountain State.
The National Pastime
With my beloved Red Sox mired in last place, baseball is a drag these days. Time to think bigger. Here is a map I made showing all the Baseball Stadiums and the ones I've been to in my days. Got some work to do.
Summer Fun at the Lake House
Who can forget those days spent on the Lake in the summers. Here is a piece bringing the owner back to those magical days. A perfect for a gift for the sibling who has everything.
Top 10 Beaches in Costa Rica
In honor of David Letterman's retirement last night, it is only fitting I have a Top 10 map. This is designed to accompany a Blog Post explaining each of the beaches shown.
Get Your Kicks
This map is done over a Google Earth background. It shows the 4 Best Sail-Up Bars in the Abacos (Northeast Bahamas). You can almost hear the Jimmy Buffett playing in the background.
March of the Penguins
Here is a map I made of 3 "off the map" ski resorts in the Alps that I just read about on A Luxury Travel Blog (www.aluxurytravelblog.com) I just had to put them on a map, of course.
Roma Per Un Giorno
Sheila and Michael spent a wonderful day in Rome last October. Here is their Passport Map memorializing their trip!
Here is an example of a Family Trip to the Sub-Continent in which multiple photos of the trip are featured.
Epic Sporting Events
Not all Passport Maps are about Epic Travels. Some have more practical purposes. We also make maps for biking tour companies, running race organizers and clubs! Here a map of the weekly Saturday morning ride for Spark - Bike Run Sports, a wonderful triathlon shop in Taunton, MA.
A Passport Map can be a unique and thoughtful Anniversary present! Here is one I made of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, detailing the highlights of the week.
Here is a map of the remarkable, wonderful, inspiring, scrumtrelescent trip to London, that I took with my wife last August. This one has more of a paragraph /story format instead of a numbered legend. Both formats work to tell the story of this fantastic trip.
What is Passport Maps?
As a mapmaker and travel lover, I love perusing Travel Blogs and I love to make maps. So that is what we have here. Maps of people's cool travels, posted every day or so. A map blog if you will. Part art, part data, all fun. Enjoy!
